The task of this project was to create a visually compelling book cover inspired by the film It Comes at Night. The goal was to translate the movie’s tone and themes into a static design that captures tension and mystery. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the film focuses on a family living in isolation during an unknown global crisis, emphasizing fear of the unseen and the breakdown of trust. Rather than relying on traditional horror imagery, the design draws from the film’s use of atmosphere and ambiguity. Dark tones, minimal composition, and symbolic visuals were used to reflect feelings of paranoia and confinement. The final cover aims to communicate suspense while remaining visually clean and engaging.
